About Us

Building Bridges partners with local organizations in developing world countries to complete infrastructure related projects like schools, medical clinics and libraries.

On each project, we organize a trip to the village where we are working and bring volunteers to help work on the project side by side with the members of the community we are helping.

Our mission is to both help those in the world that need it most through our project and at the same time build a community of volunteers that leaves our trips not only as lifelong friends but with a new perspective on helping others.

Matthew Basile
Co-founder

Matt is based in Tampa, Florida and also founded Naya, a software platform and AI and tech first law firm that focuses on improving efficiency in commercial real estate transactions. Matt received his JD from Fordham University School of Law. Shortly after graduation from The College of the Holy Cross, he created, fund raised and implemented a construction project in the village of Chacraseca, Nicaragua. He has four young boys and is excited to find ways to bring the Building Bridges mission to the next generation and help as many communities as possible.

Ted Egner
Co-Founder

Ted lives in Washington, DC and focuses on apartment acquisition opportunities for a nationally recognized commercial real estate company. His experiences volunteering in Nicaragua after graduating from The College of the Holy Cross inspired him to move to Costa Rica years later to construct schools in several isolated indigenous villages. Ted received an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
